Ramshorn Pod

Ramshorn Pods are uniquely shaped botanicals with a natural spiral form that adds a distinctive, organic look to any aquascape. Their curved, shell-like structure makes them especially eye-catching, while still blending naturally into leaf litter or botanical-heavy layouts.

As they soak and slowly break down, Ramshorn Pods release tannins that contribute to a soft, slightly tinted blackwater environment. Their surface also develops biofilm over time, making them an excellent grazing spot for shrimp and other small invertebrates.

Their spiral shape creates small crevices and shaded areas that can provide light cover for shrimp and fry, adding both function and visual interest. They can be used as a focal accent or combined with other botanicals to enhance a natural, layered setup.
