Alenquer Tiger Pleco L397 - Panaqolus Maccus

The Alenquer Tiger Pleco L397 is a visually striking species renowned for its unique and bold tiger-like stripingpattern. With black and gold stripes running across its body and distinctive broad, spade-shaped fins, this pleco makes a striking addition to any aquarium. Native to the Rio Xingu in Brazil, this pleco thrives in aquariums that replicate its natural environment: slow-moving rivers with plenty of wood and rocky areas.

This species is a wood-eating pleco, meaning it will spend much of its time grazing on driftwood and will benefit from the presence of tannins in the water. Despite its somewhat intimidating appearance, the Alenquer Tiger Pleco is typically peaceful and solitary, especially when housed with other species that don’t compete for similar resources.
