Important — Do Not Bury the Rhizome

If planting in substrate, ensure the rhizome — the thick horizontal stem from which the leaves grow — remains fully above the substrate. Burying the rhizome will cause it to rot and kill the plant. For best results, attach directly to hardscape and let the roots find their own way.
