Anubias Golden - Anubias Spp.

Anubias “Golden” is a striking cultivar of Anubias, prized for its lighter, yellow-green to golden foliage that stands out against darker plants and hardscape. Its leaves are broad and slightly rounded with the same thick, durable texture Anubias is known for, but with a much brighter tone that adds contrast and highlights within an aquascape.

Like other Anubias varieties, it grows from a creeping rhizome and should be attached to driftwood, rocks, or décor rather than buried in substrate. Once secured, it is extremely hardy and low-maintenance, making it suitable for aquarists of all experience levels. Its slow growth helps it maintain a clean, structured look over time without frequent trimming.

This variety does best in low to moderate lighting. Under stronger lighting, its lighter coloration can make it more prone to algae if conditions aren’t balanced, so stable parameters and good tank maintenance are important. It does not require CO₂ injection, though consistent nutrients will support healthier growth and coloration.
