Aquarium Soil Powder is a fine-grained, complete substrate designed for planted aquariums, particularly those with delicate foreground plants and carpeting species. Its smaller grain size allows for precise planting and helps anchor roots securely, making it ideal for creating dense, lush carpets and detailed aquascapes.

This nutrient-rich substrate promotes strong plant growth from the start while enhancing overall colour development, including intensifying red plant tones. As an active substrate, it also gently lowers pH and slightly influences water chemistry, helping create conditions preferred by many aquatic plants and livestock.

Aquarium Soil Powder can be used on its own without the need for an additional base layer, offering a simple and effective foundation for both beginner and advanced aquascapers.

For newly established aquariums, it is recommended to perform 25–50% water changes at least twice weekly during the first four weeks to help stabilize the system as the substrate settles.

Ideal for planted aquariums, nano tanks, and aquascapes with carpeting or foreground plants.

How Much Soil Do You Need?
To calculate the amount of substrate required:

Length (cm) × Width (cm) × Desired Substrate Depth (cm) ÷ 1000 = Litres Needed

Example:
90 × 60 × 8 ÷ 1000 = 43.2L of substrate required

For the best visual effect, slope the substrate higher toward the back of the aquarium to create depth and perspective.
