Bacopa Lanigera Variegata

Bacopa lanigera ‘Variegata’ is a striking and uncommon stem plant prized for its soft green leaves edged in creamy white. The variegation gives it a bright, almost luminous appearance in the aquarium, making it a standout accent among solid green plants. Its leaves are slightly thicker and more textured than other Bacopa varieties, giving it a fuller, almost succulent-like look.

This plant is considered moderate in difficulty compared to standard Bacopa varieties. While still fairly hardy, the variegation means it benefits from stronger lighting to maintain its white coloration. In lower light, growth may slow and the contrast can become less pronounced. With proper care, it grows upright and can be trimmed and replanted like other stem plants to create a fuller grouping.

It is also suitable for shrimp tanks, though shrimp may graze lightly on biofilm that develops on the leaves. It is not recommended for tanks with heavy plant-eating species.
