Bacopa Myriophilloides

Bacopa myriophylloides is a delicate, fine-textured stem plant that offers a softer, feathery look compared to other Bacopa species. Its slender stems are lined with narrow, needle-like leaves that create a light, airy effect in the aquarium. The vibrant green coloration and intricate leaf structure make it an excellent choice for adding contrast against broader-leaf plants and hardscape.

This species is considered moderate in difficulty. While it can adapt to a range of conditions, it performs best with moderate to strong lighting and consistent nutrients. CO₂ is not mandatory but greatly improves density and overall health. Under lower light, growth may become sparse and elongated. Regular trimming encourages bushier growth, and tops can be replanted to build fuller clusters.

Bacopa myriophylloides is well-suited for peaceful community aquariums with tetras, rasboras, livebearers, corydoras, bettas, and dwarf gouramis. Its fine leaves also make it a beautiful addition to shrimp tanks, providing excellent grazing surfaces and gentle cover. It is not ideal for tanks with plant-nipping or large herbivorous fish due to its softer structure.
