Bucephalandra sp. ‘Pink Lady’ is a highly sought-after ornamental variety of Bucephalandra, known for its delicate coloration and compact, elegant growth. Its small, slightly wavy leaves typically show deep green to bronze bases with subtle pink, blush, or reddish highlights along the edges or new growth points. Under good lighting, these soft pink tones become more visible, giving the plant a rare, refined appearance compared to more common Bucephalandra types.

Like all Bucephalandra, it grows from a creeping rhizome and must be attached to hardscape such as driftwood, rocks, or aquarium décor. It should not be buried in substrate. It forms slow-growing, dense clusters over time, making it ideal for accent placement in detailed aquascapes where subtle color variation and texture are important.

This plant prefers stable, mature aquarium conditions. While it can adapt to low-tech setups, moderate lighting, consistent nutrients, and CO₂ supplementation will greatly enhance both growth and its signature pink coloration. It may temporarily lose leaves when first introduced (“melting”), but typically rebounds once acclimated.
