Chocolate Cichlids are peaceful mid- to bottom-dwellers that enjoy soft substrate and plenty of cover. They coexist well with:

• Corydoras and other gentle bottom dwellers

• Small to medium tetras and rasboras

• Other peaceful cichlids of similar size

Avoid aggressive or overly boisterous tankmates that could stress them.

Tank Setup:

A planted aquarium with driftwood, rocks, and caves provides ideal hiding spaces and security. Gentle water flow, stable water parameters, and moderate lighting help maintain their subtle iridescence and calm behavior.
