Originally bred from the wild Bee Shrimp, this delicate species is popular among aquarists for its vibrant patterns and unique appearance. Crystal Red Shrimp thrive in well-maintained, heavily planted tanks with stable water parameters and minimal fluctuations. They prefer soft, slightly acidic water and do best in shrimp-only or carefully selected community setups to avoid predation. Like other Caridina shrimp, they are excellent scavengers, constantly foraging for biofilm, algae, and detritus. Due to their sensitivity, they require high water quality and should not be kept with aggressive fish.
