The Dull-Eyed Royal Pleco L191 is a small to medium-sized freshwater catfish prized for its peaceful temperament and striking appearance. Its body is covered in dark brown to black tones with subtle lighter patterns, and its characteristic “dull eyes” give it a unique, understated charm. Like other Panaque species, it is an active algae and biofilm grazer, particularly fond of driftwood.

This species is moderate in care, requiring stable water parameters, plenty of hiding spots, and a diet that includes wood and vegetables. It is suitable for community tanks with compatible, peaceful tankmates.
