Echinodorus 'Reni' is a favourite among planted tank enthusiasts for good reason. One of the smallest red Echinodorus cultivars available, it stays a manageable 15-40cm tall with a rosette spread of 15-25cm — making it a perfect mid to background plant for smaller aquariums where a full sized sword plant simply isn't an option.

What it lacks in size it more than makes up for in colour. New leaves emerge a stunning reddish-brown to deep beetroot, creating a dramatic focal point that draws the eye immediately. As the plant matures and pushes out new growth the colour display is constant and ever changing — no two leaves quite the same.
