The Elongatus Mpanga (Pseudotropheus “Mpanga”) is a vividly colored Mbuna from Lake Malawi, known for its electric blue body and bold black horizontal bars, often with a reddish or purple tint along the fins and underbelly—especially in dominant males. This compact rock-dweller is both striking and feisty, making it a popular choice among Mbuna enthusiasts looking to add contrast and energy to their setups.

Both sexes display vibrant coloration, with males typically brighter and more territorial.
