The Forktail Rainbowfish, also known as the Furcata Rainbow, is a small, active species known for its striking appearance and lively schooling behavior. With their shimmering yellow bodies, neon-blue eyes, and signature deeply forked, transparent tails tipped in black and yellow, they’re a dazzling addition to any peaceful community tank.

These fish originate from Papua New Guinea and thrive in aquariums that mimic their native slow-moving streams: well-planted, with soft water and plenty of open swimming space. Males display vibrant colors and extended fin rays, especially during courtship or social displays, while females are slightly more subdued in appearance.
