This hardy and peaceful species originates from Southeast Asia and is well-suited for beginners and seasoned aquarists alike. It prefers to be kept in groups of six or more, where it displays more natural schooling behavior and bright coloration. Gold Barbs are very active swimmers and benefit from open swimming space with scattered plants and decor.
