Halfmoon Betta (Female) - High Grade

High Grade Female Halfmoon Bettas are elegant, selectively bred bettas known for their flowing finnage, graceful movement, and vibrant coloration. Unlike standard female bettas, high grade varieties often display stronger colours, fuller finnage, and more refined body shape, making them beautiful display fish in both planted aquariums and carefully managed sororities.

Halfmoon Bettas are named for their impressive tail spread, which can fan out close to 180 degrees when fully flared. Female Halfmoons typically have slightly shorter fins than males but still showcase stunning finnage and striking patterns in a wide variety of colours and metallic finishes.

These intelligent and curious fish thrive in warm, stable aquariums with gentle filtration and plenty of cover from live plants or décor. Female bettas can often be kept together successfully in groups called sororities when housed in appropriately sized aquariums with heavy planting, ample hiding spaces, and careful introduction. As with all bettas, individual temperament varies, so monitoring for aggression is important.

A high-quality betta pellet should form the basis of their diet, supplemented with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, or daphnia for optimal health and colour development.
