Harlequin Rasbora - Trigonostigma Heteromorpha

The Harlequin Rasbora is a timeless favorite in the aquarium hobby, known for its soft copper-orange body and distinctive black triangular “harlequin” patch near the tail. When kept in proper groups, their warm coloration and synchronized schooling behavior create a calm, cohesive display in planted aquariums.

This species is easy to keep and beginner-friendly, making it an excellent choice for community tanks. They are hardy once established and adapt well to a range of freshwater conditions, though they truly thrive in slightly acidic, well-maintained water with plants and subdued lighting. A dark substrate and background will enhance their natural color.
