A Note From Us

While the feeding instructions recommend two to three feedings per day, our personal approach is a little different — we find feeding once daily, and occasionally skipping a day entirely to allow fish to purge their systems, keeps our fish in better overall condition. Cichlids in particular benefit from not being overfed, and a rest day here and there does no harm. This is purely our own experience and what works for us — but it's worth considering, especially for larger, slower-metabolising species. **This does not apply to fry/juveniles**

Regardless of feeding frequency, always remove any uneaten food promptly after feeding to protect water quality.

Feeding Guidelines

Feed the amount your fish will completely consume within a few minutes. Remove any uneaten food after each feeding to avoid water quality issues. Our personal recommendation is once daily feeding with an occasional rest day — but adjust to suit your fish and setup.
