Julii Cory - Corydoras Julii

The Julii Cory is a small, peaceful catfish beloved for its delicate spotted pattern and gentle nature. Its silvery body is decorated with fine black spots and a subtle horizontal stripe along the midline, giving it a speckled, “dappled” appearance. This species is highly social and thrives in groups, often gliding along the substrate in coordinated foraging behavior that adds constant activity to the bottom of the tank.

Julii Corys are easy to keep and beginner-friendly, making them ideal for community aquariums. They prefer soft, sandy substrate to protect their sensitive barbels while foraging. Well-planted tanks with open areas for swimming and hiding spots are perfect for helping them feel secure.

Julii Corys are ideal for community tanks with tetras, rasboras, guppies, swordtails, mollies, and other non-aggressive mid- to top-water species. They coexist well with shrimp and are excellent for keeping the substrate clean, gently scavenging leftover food without disturbing plants.
