Why choose one colour when you can have them all? Our Mixed Colour Neocaridina Shrimp Pack is the perfect way to add a vibrant, eye-catching splash of colour to your planted aquarium while taking advantage of a multi-shrimp discount. Each pack is hand-selected from our current in-stock Neocaridina varieties, which may include any combination of:

- Red Cherry
- Yellow Fire
- Orange Fire
- Black Sakura
- And any other $6.99 Neocaridina varieties we have in stock at the time of your order
Every colour in our collection is kept in its own dedicated tank to maintain colour line purity — so you can trust that the shrimp you receive are true, well-established colour variants rather than mixed-tank offspring that may revert to wild colouration over time.
A Note on Mixing Neocaridina Colours
All Neocaridina davidi colour variants are the same species and will interbreed freely if housed together. If maintaining colour purity is important to you, we recommend keeping each colour in its own separate tank or compartment. If you simply want a stunning, colourful display tank without concern for breeding true, a mixed colony is a wonderfully vibrant and low-maintenance option — and the variety of colours moving through plants and hardscape together is genuinely beautiful.
Raised With Care — RO Water and Quality From the Start
All of our Neocaridina shrimp at Poseidon Aquatics are raised in remineralised RO water, ensuring they develop in clean, precisely controlled water parameters free from the chlorine, heavy metals, and inconsistent mineral content found in tap water. This gives our shrimp the best possible start in life and results in healthier, more vibrant animals that are better equipped to thrive in a well-maintained home aquarium.
Drip Acclimation Is Always Recommended
Neocaridina shrimp are sensitive to sudden changes in water parameters — even a small shift in pH, temperature, or mineral content can cause stress, failed moults, or losses. We always recommend drip acclimating your new shrimp over a minimum of 2–3 hours before introducing them to your tank. A slow, steady drip of 2–3 drops per second from your tank water into the acclimation container gives your shrimp the best possible chance of settling in successfully.

Tank Setup
A well-planted aquarium with gentle filtration, plenty of hiding spots, and a dark substrate will bring out the very best in your Neocaridina shrimp. Java Moss, Anubias, Bucephalandra, and floating plants are all excellent choices — providing grazing surfaces, cover for moulting shrimp, and shelter for shrimplets. A sponge filter is strongly recommended, as it poses no risk to juveniles and provides an additional biofilm grazing surface. If using a hang-on-back or canister filter, always cover the intake with a pre-filter sponge.
A Critical Warning — Copper Toxicity
Neocaridina shrimp are extremely sensitive to copper, which is lethal even in trace amounts. Always check the ingredients of any fish medications, fertilisers, or water treatments before use. When in doubt, remove shrimp to a separate container before treating the main tank.
Feeding
Omnivorous scavengers that graze continuously throughout the day. In a well-established planted tank, biofilm and algae will provide a significant portion of their diet naturally. Supplement with high quality shrimp pellets, algae wafers, and blanched vegetables such as zucchini, spinach, and kale. Feed sparingly — uneaten food fouls the water quickly, and overfeeding is one of the most common mistakes in shrimp keeping.
Tank Mates
- Other peaceful nano fish such as small tetras, rasboras, danios, and endlers
- Corydoras and other small, peaceful bottom dwellers
- Snails — excellent tank mates
- Avoid Bettas, Gouramis, and any fish with a mouth large enough to eat shrimp
- Do not house with other Neocaridina colour morphs if maintaining colour purity is important to you
