Nebula Betta (Male)

Care Requirements:

• Tank Size: 5 gallons minimum (10+ gallons preferred)

• Temperature: 24–28 °C

• pH: 6.5–7.5

• Water Hardness: Soft to moderately hard

• Temperament: Semi-aggressive, territorial toward other male bettas

• Diet: Carnivore — high-quality betta pellets, frozen foods, and occasional live foods

Behavior & Compatibility:

Male Nebula Bettas are territorial and should not be housed with other male bettas. In community setups, they do best with calm tankmates that are not fin-nippers and do not resemble bettas in shape or color.

Suitable tankmates may include:

• Small rasboras

• Peaceful tetras

• Corydoras

• Small snails

Avoid housing them with aggressive fish or species known to nip fins, such as tiger barbs.

Tank Setup:

A heavily planted aquarium with gentle filtration works best. Bettas appreciate floating plants, resting spots near the surface, and calm water flow. Since they are labyrinth fish, they occasionally swim to the surface to breathe atmospheric air.
