Yellow Tail Acei - Pseudotropheus Acei

Pseudotropheus acei "Yellow Tail" is a striking Mbuna cichlid from Lake Malawi, instantly recognizable by its deep blue body contrasted with bright yellow fins and tail. Unlike most Mbuna, which prefer rocky terrain, the Acei is often found around submerged logs and open sandy areas, making it more active and less aggressive than many of its relatives.

This species is a great choice for aquarists looking for a more peaceful Mbuna that still offers bold color and lively behavior. They thrive in tanks with plenty of swimming space, some rockwork for shelter, and a diet high in vegetable matter. Kept in groups, Yellow Tail Acei show natural shoaling behavior and reduced aggression.
